Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound beef top sirloin steak (1-1/2 pounds)

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the first six ingredients; add the steak and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and discard marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 5-8 minutes on each side.
