What do you get when you combine three sweet treats—rich cheesecake, made-from-scratch brownies and popular Snickers candy bars—in one delectable pie? Pure bliss! —Genise Krause, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
  • Total Time
Prep: 45 min. Bake: 20 min. + cooling
  • Makes
    10 servings

  • 1/3 cup butter, cubed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 10 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 Snickers candy bars (2.07 ounces each), cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped

  • Preheat oven to 325°. In a heavy saucepan, bring butter, sugar and water to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate until melted; cool slightly. Stir in vanilla.
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs until lightly beaten. Gradually add chocolate mixture; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to egg mixture. Spread into a greased 9-in. deep-dish pie plate. Bake 20 minutes. Cool on a wire rack 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla just until blended. Arrange candy bar pieces over brownie layer; spread cream cheese mixture over top. Bake 18-20 minutes or until top is set and edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  • For glaze, bring cream to a simmer; remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir until smooth. Cool 15 minutes; pour over pie. Refrigerate until serving.
TO MAKE AHEAD: Pie can be made a day in advance. Cover and refrigerate.

I made this pie today, its very tasty, very rich, however you must bake it a lot longer than recipe says. I baked the brownie layer 30 minutes and the cheesecake layer about 45. Just would not get done. This however worked and everything cooked up fine. Just wanted to let others know.

I made this last night following the recipe exactly. For taste, I give it five stars. For baking time ... terrible. The directions were clear and easy to follow and I made sure I had everything in place. My problem came down to the baking time. I baked the brownie and everything was fine. I added the cheeesecake layer and that was my problem. The recipe says bake 18 to 20 minutes. I set my timer for 18 minutes and checked. The middle was still raw so I kept baking ... and kept baking. I lost track of how many times I put it back in the oven, but I know it was at least 15 extra minutes and the middle was still a little soft. I finally took it out fearing that the brownie layers would be cardboard. I tested it this morning and found good news/bad news. The good news was that the brownie was not overcooked. The bad news is that the cheesecake layer and the brownie layer were both a little under done. So ... I would make this again, but knowing that the last bake requires a much longer time for me. I have a new oven and I've never had a problem with other items I have baked, but just be prepared to bake for longer if the middle isn't set. It will all be ok.

Excellent! I didn’t use the snickers only because I don’t like that many textures.. it’s very rich, a small slice will satisfy your cheesecake and craving for a brownie as well!

This was very good but very rich and sweet. I made several desserts for a party and put small pieces of them all on a table. It was the first dessert gone.

Good, but very rich. Make sure it is very cold, as the colder it gets, the better it is.

Delicious!! This pie has all my favorite food staples brownie's and snickers. I had a great time making and serving what was left when I finished test tasting it, which was about 4 slices cut really thin, just kidding, there was some restraint on my part. I did change the topping however from the glaze to Reddi-Wip. It was a winner!!!! I do want to say that if anyone in your family is allergic to peanuts then switch the Snickers to Milky Way, same great taste!
