Air-Fryer Sweet Potato Fries Tips
Are fries healthy when cooked in an air fryer?
Fries that are air-fried, both sweet potato and those made from regular potatoes, are healthier than their deep-fried counterparts. That’s because instead of using quarts of oil in a deep fryer, you can use just a small amount, or none at all, in an air fryer. Plus, you'll still achieve beautifully crispy fries. How do I make these sweet potato fries if I don’t have an air fryer?
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can
make these fries in an oven. Preheat oven to 425° F. Combine all ingredients; toss to coat. Spread fries in a single layer on two baking sheets. Bake until crisp, 35-40 minutes. Serve immediately.
What goes well with sweet potato fries?
The first thing that probably comes to mind is the classic
burger and fries combo. There’s no beating that, but don’t discount other pub and restaurant fare such as
fried fish,
chicken tenders and
hot, hearty sandwiches of all kinds. If you’re trying to eat healthier, pair sweet potato fries with
grilled chicken,
seafood,
sheet pan suppers and other quick and healthy entrees.
