The British Royal Family Is Looking for a Chef…Again

According to the job posting, this is a full-time position working five days a week. Qualified candidates must have experience in the food industry with a background in premier catering, strong leadership and communication skills, and be trained in classical French cuisine. We can’t argue with that requirement.

The sous chef will be based in London, but traveling to other Royal residences will be required. “Above all, you’ll be committed to achieving high standards every day, making you a real asset to the Kitchen team,” the posting concludes.

The position offers a “competitive” salary “including a 15% employer contribution pension scheme” and 33 days of vacation time. The role offers the exciting opportunity to live in Buckingham Palace itself, with the job listing stating, “The role also offers the option to live-in with all meals provided (for which there is a salary adjustment).” And you get to say that you’ve cooked for the Queen!
