Sonic is truly America’s unsung hero. We’ve got this delicious drive-thru to thank for curbing our most monstrous chili and cheese cravings and letting us wash it all down with our favorite Route 44 real berry slushie. If the sound of that made you crave the fresh, fried flavors of Sonic, then this news will have you racing to your car.
Believe it or not, on Thursday, June 6, Sonic will be selling mozzarella sticks for a whopping 99 cents.
This Is Not a Drill
Sonic must have a surplus of mozzarella sticks, because there doesn’t seem to be any other reason for handing these babies out so cheap. If you drop by while supplies last, you can get your hands on a 4-piece pack of ooey-gooey mozzarella sticks for less than $1 (tax not included). You can only get a maximum of five orders per customer which is sort of a catch, but if 20 mozzarella sticks for $5 isn’t enough to tame that cheese-loving beast in your belly, we don’t know what will. (Except for maybe these melty recipes.)
More fine print: The deal excludes combos, Wacky Packs and kids’ meals, and only participating Sonics will be dishing out the piggy bank-friendly favorite.
Do you know which big restaurant owner just bought out Sonic?
It’s Pretty Last-Minute
The announcement regarding 99-cent Mozzarella Stick Day was only released a couple days prior to the event. On June 4, Sonic let the cat out of the bag on both Instagram and Twitter. Even though the posts haven’t had too much time to circulate, they’re expecting a pretty big crowd. Sonic fans around the nation are gearing up to show these mozzarella sticks who’s boss, and we don’t plan on getting in their way.
