Panera Just Released an All-New Cinnamon Crunch Latte—and We Can’t Wait to Try It

Pumpkin Spice versus Cinnamon Crunch Latte. Which are you choosing?

The weeks leading up to fall meant only one thing for the avid latte drinker—well, until now. The frenzy around Pumpkin Spice Latte season at Starbucks has been unrivaled by other chains since the drink launched in 2003. Several other coffee chains have, of course, come up with their own versions of the PSL, but nothing quite matches the original.

Yet Panera decided to step out of the box with the announcement of a brand-new fall drink, the Cinnamon Crunch Latte. Here’s everything you need to know before you order.

Ever wondered about the nutritional value of a Starbucks PSL? We have.

What’s in a Cinnamon Crunch Latte?

It’s no secret that Panera offers a wide selection of baked goods, pastries and bagels. In fact, a popular bagel was actually the inspiration behind this new latte.

The Cinnamon Crunch Bagel is extremely popular at Panera, with over 5,000 sold an hour, according to Today. The bagel is baked with cinnamon and vanilla chips for a sweet flavor, then topped with a layer of cinnamon crunch. Yum!

So, with how popular the initial bagel recipe is, translating this popular treat into a fall drink makes perfect sense. The Cinnamon Crunch Latte will feature fresh espresso, cinnamon syrup, steamed milk and of course, cinnamon crunch topping.

The PSL is delicious—I’m a huge fan of pumpkin-flavored treats—but this Cinnamon Crunch Latte could be a serious contender in the autumnal coffee game. I’ll have to try it and see.

When Will the Latte Be Available?

If the Cinnamon Crunch Latte sounds like something you’d sip, don’t head over to Panera quite yet. The company shared on Instagram that the seasonal drink will be available in cafes on September 1, 2021.

Until then, you can still get your fix with a store-bought bagel, or try this at-home recipe for the famous Cinnamon Crunch Bagel.
