KitchenAid's Color of the Year is... Honey!

If you know us, you know we’re big fans of KitchenAid. According to our Test Kitchen, KitchenAid’s stand mixer is the best of its kind, and there’s no other appliance quite like it. KitchenAid is always innovating their design, too, with classic hues and brand-new colors every year.

Just recently, KitchenAid announced their 2021 Color of the Year. And while last year we couldn’t wait to get our hands on Kyoto Glow, this year it’s time to say hello to a warm, cozy hue: Honey!

This New Color Is Super Sweet

KitchenAid understands that there’s nothing sweeter than spending time in the kitchen with loved ones. And this color is meant to represent warmth, connection and transformation.

“For KitchenAid, it has become increasingly evident that the warmth of humanity is paramount,” says Jon Bellante, KitchenAid global marketing director. “Honey isn’t just a product we use in recipes around the globe; it’s an invitation to connect and a reminder of the joy that comes from collaboration. Through the color Honey, KitchenAid offers everyone a new way to bond over making while bringing an extra touch of warmth directly to their countertops.”

Honey features rich, golden-orange hues, and acts as the perfect complement to any style kitchen. While it strongly evokes retro, midcentury modern vibes, Honey also works well in classic and eclectic kitchens, too.

Psst! These are the best KitchenAid attachments you didn’t know you needed.

When Can I Buy a Honey Mixer?

Honey is already available on KitchenAid’s website. The Artisan 5-Quart Tilt-Head series of stand mixers and the K400 Blender will both feature the new shade.

And don’t worry, you can still get your hands on a whole spectrum of other colors if Honey doesn’t suit your fancy.
