Whether you’re cooking in big batches for a hungry crowd or you just don’t want to splash yourself with hot grease, baking bacon is a smart alternative to the usual stovetop cast-iron and microwave methods. How to Bake Bacon

- Aluminum foil

- Paper towels
- A large plate
Step 1: Prep It
Preheat the oven to 350°F and spread the bacon evenly across an aluminum-lined rimmed baking pan.
Step 2: Bake It
Place the pan in the oven and bake until bacon is crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Depending on the cut of bacon and the desired crispness, bake time will vary, so keep an eye on the oven beginning around the 12-minute mark to ensure the bacon doesn’t burn. Looking for extra-crisp bacon? Place a metal cooling rack on top of the aluminum-lined pan and lay the raw bacon on top. This will allow the bacon to cook from all sides.
Step 3: Let It Rest
Remove the pan from the oven once the desired crispness has been reached, and use tongs to move the bacon onto paper towels. Then enjoy your perfectly crisp bacon! Here are a few tips for cooking bacon on the grill.
Test Kitchen Tip: To save the bacon grease, let the pan and foil cool before gently pouring the grease into a heat-safe container. Save the grease for roasted potatoes and other savory treats. If you don’t want the grease, let the pan cool completely before crumpling the grease-covered aluminum into the trash.
