Dairy Queen Is Making a Brand-New Pumpkin Cookie Butter Shake for Fall

We're FALLing for DQ's pumpkin treats!

We don’t know about you, but we’ve been indulging in Dairy Queen all season long thanks to the lineup of summer Blizzards. As much as we crave the Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard, though, fall is right around the corner.

Starbucks might have gotten the jump on the season with its fall menu, but DQ isn’t far behind with pumpkin treats galore. We’re ready to head to DQ.

It’s Even Sweeter Than the PSL

You don’t have to wait long to get the first taste of fall, thanks to Dairy Queen. This year, the ice cream giant is bringing back the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, and another favorite is returning to the pumpkin-y roster—the Pumpkin Cookie Butter Shake! Both treats mix the pumpkin flavor we all crave into Dairy Queen’s vanilla soft serve for the perfect autumn sipper.

What’s the difference between the Dairy Queen pumpkin treats? The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard locks in the basic flavors of pumpkin and ice cream, whereas the Pumpkin Cookie Butter Shake amps it up with mixed-in cookie butter made from indulgent ground spice cookies. Both are topped with a decadent dollop of whipped cream and ground nutmeg.

Psst: Do you think butterscotch-dipped cones will be back at DQ this fall?

When Will DQ Have Pumpkin Treats?

The treats won’t be officially rolling out until August 30. Both treats will hit stores nationwide, and while we’re not sure how much these will go for, the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard will probably be around $4 for a medium like other Blizzards, though the prices may vary by location. Meanwhile, the Cookie Butter Shake cost around $4 for a small, $4.50 for a medium and $5.50 for a large last year. We’re all about spooky season, so you can bet you’ll find us grabbing a large of each.

We’ll be lining up at the drive-thru for these DQ pumpkin treats! Will you?
