Join Bakeable’s November Challenge: The Very Best Pecan Pie

It's officially pie season. This month, we're encouraging you to spice up your traditional Thanksgiving dessert routine with our twist on pecan pie. It's a must-bake.


Our November Challenge

November is here, and with it comes pie season. As Thanksgiving approaches, we know bakers will be perfecting their pies to serve up after the year’s biggest meal. While some families enjoy pumpkin or apple after dinner, there’s no denying that pecan pie is the sweetest way to finish off the day.

But we’re not challenging you to make just any ol’ pecan pie this month, we’re giving you the recipe for the Best Pecan Pie, a dessert created by our Deputy Culinary Editor James Schend. This pie is a bit different than many common pecan pie recipes and that’s what makes it the best ever. You’ll find maple syrup in lieu of corn syrup and extra flavor thanks to splashes of vanilla and whiskey. Once you try this version of pecan pie, we’re certain it’ll become a holiday tradition.
